The Reason We Founded Promise
Aging In Place
Staying in your own home
The industry term, “Aging in place,” means staying in your own home, surrounded by the unique memories and comforts you’ve built up over your lifetime.
Unfortunately, many homes are not safe or comfortable as people mature and begin to encounter mobility issues. Stairways, narrow doorways and bathroom difficulties often result in people having to leave their beloved homes, moving into institutional living. Promise Home Works was founded to change this. With care and dedication, our local St. Louis occupational therapists discover challenges to staying in your own home. Then we work with innovative equipment manufacturers and the best construction professionals to design and implement the changes needed to make staying in your own home safe and comfortable. 90% of adults 65 and older surveyed indicated that they would rather stay in their own homes than to relocate.
